Conwy Valley Maze
Dare you enter the Big One? You will be A-Mazed
A good quiz question. Where is the Worlds Largest Garden Maze?
The answer is closer than you may think because it is located in the beautiful Conwy Valley between Trefriw and Dolgarrog. See map
The maze extends to over two acres and beat the previous title holder the Marquis of Bath at Longleat. The maze was designed and created by Giovanni Angelo Jacovelli with help from renowned Australian artist Bob Haberfield. The entire grounds covers ten acres.
Original art work by Bob Haberfield now on display in our emerging new gallery. All previously unseen !
English yew hedge (Taxus baccata) called the called the "King of Hedges" has been used for the construction of the Maze.
To be featured on BBC wales Derek the weatherman walking series, to be screened spring 2024
The Maze is unique in that it contains several themed gardens; Rose Garden, Butterfly garden, Japanese Zen garden, etc.
Giovanni also has a passion for sculptured art and you will see many fine examples as you travel around the Maze and gardens.
Will happily discuss similar commissions to create original and exciting statuary.
